Thunderhead Farm Colored Angora Goats - Kids

angora goat for sale

Lotus and Lexus
DOB: 3-9-10
Sire: Sparks / Dam: Katydid

Both girls are a gorgeous red, fine and sport well defined curls. Lexus is probably a bit more dense with more facial and leg cover than sister Lotus. They both represent exactly what we hoped Sparks would produce. Lexus is offered for $250 (her kid fleece has been shorn).

J Duesy
DOB: 3-11-10
Sire: Jet Li / Dam: Solé

Born jet black, this big guy surprised us all as his mohair began to grow in - it was liquid silver! He is showing signs of it darkening again as his long locks grow out. Well put together standing squarely over strong, straight legs with a long, deep body on which to grow tons of fiber this boy seems to have it all; the body, the fleece and the "aren't I special" attitude.

McClaren and Jaguar
DOB: 3-13-10
Sire: Jet Li / Dam: Makayla

Black being a favorite color here at Thunderhead, we were elated to see these two hit the ground. McClaren has remained very black while brother, Jaguar, sport a bit of silver brown tipping. Both have very fine, lustrous fleeces densely packed on nice square bodies.
Jaguar is offered for sale at $200.

Aston and Martin
DOB: 3-13-10
Sire: Ramon / Dam: Monroe

These twins are two peas in a pod. Soft, lustrous ringlets uniformly cover well put together bodies. Both fleeces feel as though they are melted butter running through your fingers - just a great hand. Martin is a wether who will produce a wonderful hand spinner's fleece and Aston represents real breeding potential as a white, color carrier with outstanding fiber. Aston is offered at $100 (great breeding potential) and Martin at $75 (a great buy for a handspinner)

Chuck
DOB: 3-30-10
Sire: Vin / Dam Keilly

One of the reddest kids we have ever seen, truly a shinny, new copper penny color, Chuck has unbelievable density. His fleece is fine and uniform, covering a well put together body with soft, lustrous bundles of tight little locks. We should have named him Greased Lightning as he can get to the feeder at light speed. Seems he is a growing boy!

Tesla
DOB: 4-5-10
Sire: Sparks / Dam: Tabitha

This little girl is a real looker and she just catches your eye in the pasture. A creamy red with blistering blue eyes that peek out from under a ton of face cover. She is dense, uniform and fine with lots of luster. She appears to be a real production machine. This was a great breeding! Possibly carrying a recessive gene, she is offered for $300.

Stutz
DOB: 4-10-10
Sire: Sparks / Dam: Tempest

What a character! Stutz is a very light silver taupe color with only a hint of color being expressed. However, what he lacks in intensity he more than makes up for in gorgeous fiber and a wonderful attitude. Fine, lustrous, well defined locks cover a large, square body. He loves people and will produce tons of soft, usable fleece for a spinner.
For sale at $75.

Testarossa
DOB: 4-29-10
Sire: Thorn / Dam: Seneca

Our youngest buck, Testarossa is densely covered in tight, fine NQW (not quite white) locks. Although he does not express intense color, given his genetic background, we are very excited about watching this boy grow up.

June Bug
DOB: 6-2-10
Sire: Tomfoolery / Dam: Harper

This little cutie was a welcome surprise. Out of two registered whites, we were happy to see this sweet little doe arrive safely. She was quite dirty when we found her and after spending some time trying to clean her up we realized that the black spot next to her eye was not dirt, but rather pigment. She also sports one black lock squarely atop her withers. We are hoping there might be more color hiding in her genetics.
